1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind,

2. The King (or Ruler) of Mankind,

3. The God (or Judge) of Mankind,-

4. From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil), who withdraws (after his whisper),-

5. Who whispers into the hearts of Mankind,-

6. Among Jinns and among Men.




1. De ki: "Sığınırım insanların Rabbine,

2. insanların hükümdarına,

3. insanların İlahına;

4. o sinsi vesvesecinin şerrinden,

5. ki, insanların sinelerine vesvese verir durur.

6. Gerek cinlerden, gerekse insanlardan (olsun)."

5. And from the mischief of the envious one as he practices envy.

2. yarattığı şeylerin şerrinden,

3. Karanlığı çöküp bastırdığında bir gecenin şerrinden,

4. o düğümlere üfleyen üfürükçülerin şerrinden

5. ve kıskançlık gösterdiğinde bir kıskancın şerrinden!"

1. Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he!

2. No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains!

3. Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame!

4. His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - as fuel!-

5. A twisted rope of palm-leaf fiber round her (own) neck!

3. O, bir alevli ateşe yaslanacak.

1. Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant?

2. Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?

3. And He sent against them Flights of Birds,

4. Striking them with stones of baked clay.

5. Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.

1. Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and backbiter,

2. Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by,

3. Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever!

4. By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces,

5. And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces?

6. (It is) the Fire of Allah kindled (to a blaze),

7. The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts:

8. It shall be made into a vault over them,

1. The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things),

2. Until ye visit the graves.

3. But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality).

4. Again, ye soon shall know!

5. Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!)

6. Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire!

7. Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight!

8. Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!).

1. The (Day) of Clamor:

2. What is the (Day) of Clamor?

3. And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Clamor is?

4. (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about,

5. And the mountains will be like carded wool.

6. Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy,

7. Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction.

8. But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,-

9. Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit.

10. And what will explain to thee what this is?

11. (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely!

2. Nedir o çarpacak bela?
3. O çarpacak belanın ne olduğunu ne bildirdi ki sana?
4. O gün insanlar çırpınıp yayılan pervaneler gibi olacak.
5. Dağlar da didilmiş renkli yünler gibi atılacaktır.
6. İşte o zaman tartıları ağır basan kimse,
7. artık hoşnut olacağı bir hayat içindedir o.
8. Fakat tartıları hafif gelen kimse.
9. O vakit onun anası Haviyedir.
10. Ve bildin mi, Haviye nedir?
11. Kızışmış bir ateştir!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.




1. By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath),

2. And strike sparks of fire,

3. And push home the charge in the morning,

4. And raise the dust in clouds the while,

5. And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;-

6. Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;

7. And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);

8. And violent is he in his love of wealth.

9. Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad

10. And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest-

11. That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?



1. Andolsun o harıl harıl koşular koşanlara,
2. (tırnaklarını) çakarak ateşler saçanlara,
3. sabahleyin baskın basanlara,
4. derken savurup da bir toz-duman (tozu dumana katanlara),
5. o anda bir derneği ortalayanlara (topluluğun ortasına dalanlara) ki,
6. o insan Rabbine karşı pek nankördür.
7. Ve kendisi de şahittir buna.
8. Ve o serveti sevdiği için katıdır, çetindir ona.
9. Bilmiyor mu ki, kabirdekiler deşildiği zaman,
10. o göğüslerdekiler derlendiğinde,
11. O gün, Rableri onlardan elbette haberdardır!

99 - The Shaking
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.




1. When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion,

2. And the earth throws up her burdens (from within),

3. And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'-

4. On that Day will she declare her tidings:

5. For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration.

6. On that Day will men proceed in groups sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done).

7. Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it!

8. And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it.

1. Yer o sarsıntıyla sarsıldığında,

2. yer ağırlıklarını çıkardığında,

3. İnsan: "Buna ne oluyor?" dediğinde;

4. o gün, (yer) bütün haberlerini anlatır.

5. Çünkü Rabbin ona vahyetmiştir.

6. O gün insanlar, amellerinin kendilerine gösterilmesi için bölükler halinde fırlayıp çıkacaklardır.

7. Her kim zerre kadar bir hayır işlemişse onu görecek;

8. her kim de zerre kadar bir kötülük işlerse onu görecektir

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

1. Those who disbelieve, among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, were not going to depart (from their ways) until there should come to them Clear Evidence,-
2. Messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy:
3. Wherein are books right and straight.
4. Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence.
5. And they have been commanded no more than this: to worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to give Zakat; and that is the Religion Right and Straight.
6. Those who disbelieve, among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.
7. Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures.
8. Their reward is with Allah. Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher.

1. Kitap verilmiş olanlardan ve müşriklerden o küfredenler, kendilerine apaçık delil gelinceye kadar ayrılacak değillerdi.
2. (Bu delil), Allah'tan gelen bir peygamberdir, peyderpey tertemiz sahifeler okur.
3. O sahifelerde en doğru hükümler vardır.
4. Böyle iken o kitap verilmiş olanlar ancak, kendilerine apaçık delil geldikten sonra ayrılığa düştüler.
5. Oysa onlar, hakka tapan, Allah'ı birleyiciler olarak dini yalnızca Allah'a tahsis edip Allah'a ibadet etsinler, namazı dosdoğru kılsınlar ve zekatı versinler diye emrolunmuşlardı ancak. İşte odur dosdoğru din!
6. Gerek kitap verilenlerden, gerekse müşriklerden küfredenler, muhakkak cehennem ateşindedirler, orada ebedi kalacaklardır. Onlardır bütün insanların en şerlileri!
7. İman edip yararlı işler yapanlar ise bütün insanların en hayırlılarıdır.
8. Onların mükafatı Rableri katında altından ırmaklar akan Adn cennetleridir. İçlerinde ebedi kalacaklardır. Allah onlardan hoşnut, onlar da O'ndan hoşnutturlar. Bu mükafat, işte Rabbine saygı duyanlara aittir!

5. Bir selam (güvenlik) dir o gece, ta tan atana kadar

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1. Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
2. Created man, out of a leech-like clot:
3. Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
4. He Who taught (the use of) the Pen,-
5. Taught man that which he knew not.
6. Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds,
7. In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient.
8. Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).
9. Seest thou one who forbids-
10. A votary when he (turns) to pray?
11. Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?-
12. Or enjoins Righteousness?
13. Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away?
14. Knoweth he not that Allah doth see?
15. Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-
16. A lying, sinful forelock!
17. Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades):
18. We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)!

19. Nay, heed him not: but prostrate in adoration, and bring thyself the closer to Allah)!

3. Oku, O, cömertliğinin sonu olmayan Rabbindir!

4. Kalem ile (yazmayı) öğreten de.

5. O, insana bilmediği şeyleri öğretti.

6. Sakın okumazlık etme! Çünkü insan, muhakkak azıtır!

7. Kendisini artık ihtiyacı yokmuş görmekle.

8. Kesinlikle sonunda Rabbinedir dönüş!

9. Baksana o engelleyene,

10. namaz kılmakta olan bir kulu!

11. Baksana o doğru yolda giderse

12. ya da takva sahibi olmayı emrederce, fena mı?

13. Baksana, yalanlar ve tersine giderse, iyi mi?

14. Muhakkak Allah'ın görmekte olduğunu bilmiyor mu?

15. Sakın, şanım hakkı için, eğer (akıllanıp) vazgeçmezse, muhakkak Biz sürükleyeceğiz o alnı!

16. Yalancı, cani bir alnı!

17. O zaman çağırsın kurultayını, meclisini!

18. Biz çağıracağız zebanileri!

19. Hayır, sakın onu dinleme de, secde et ve yaklaş!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

1. By the Fig and the Olive,

2. And the Mount of Sinai,

3. And this City of Security,-

4. We have indeed created man in the best of moulds,

5. Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low,-

6. Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: for they shall have a reward unfailing.

7. What then, can after this make you deny the Last Judgment?

8. Is not Allah the wisest of Judges?



1. Andolsun o incire, o zeytine,

2. Sinin (Sina) dağına

3. ve bu güvenli beldeye ki,

4. Biz insanı en güzel biçimde yarattık.

5. Sonra da çevirdik aşağıların aşağısına kaktık.

6. Ancak iman edip yararlı işler yapan kimseler başka; onlar için kesilmez bir mükafat vardır.

7. O halde artık sana dini ne yalanlatabilir?

8. Allah hakimlerin hakimi değil mi?

1. Have We not expanded thee thy breast?-
2. And removed from thee thy burden
3. The which did gall thy back?-
4. And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)?
5. So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief:
6. Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.

7. Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labor hard,
8. And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention.

2. İndirmedik mi senden o yükünü?

1. By the Glorious Morning Light,

2. And by the Night when it is still,-

3. Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.

4. And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.

5. And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well- pleased.

6. Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?

7. And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.

8. And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.

9. Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,

10. Nor repulse him who asks;

11. But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!

6. O seni bir yetim olarak bulup da barınağa kavuşturmadı mı?

7. Seni şaşırmış olarak bulup da kılavuzluğunu üstlenmedi mi?

8. Seni aile geçindirme zorluğu içinde bulup da zengin etmedi mi?

9. O halde, yetimi örseleme!

10. Yoksulu/bir şey isteyeni azarlama!

11. Ve Rabbinin nimetini söz ve fiillerinle dile getir!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

1. By the Night as it conceals (the light);

2. By the Day as it appears in glory;

3. By the creation of male and female;-

4. Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse.

5. So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah),

6. And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,-

7. We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Ease.

8. But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient,

9. And gives the lie to the best,-

10. We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery;

11. Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit).

12. Verily We take upon Us to guide,

13. And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning.

14. Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely;

15. None shall burn therein but those most unfortunate ones

16. Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs.

17. But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,-

18. Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification,

19. And have in their minds no favor from anyone for which a reward is expected in return,

20. But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High;

21. And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction.




1. Andolsun bürürken o geceye,

2. açıldığı zaman o gündüze,

3. erkeği ve dişiyi yaratana ki,

4. sizin çabanız dağınıktır

5. Ama bundan böyle her kim vergi verir korunursa

6. ve en güzeli doğrularca

7. Biz onu en kolayına kolaylayacağız.

8. Her kim de cimrilik eder, kendisini müstağni sayar

9. ve en güzeli yalanlarca;

10. onu da en zor olana hazırlayacağız.

11. Ve yuvarlandığı zaman onu malı kurtaramayacak!

12. Kesinlikle doğru yolu göstermek Bize aittir.

13. Kuskusuz sonu da Bizim önü de Bizim (ahiret de Bizimdir dünya da)!

14. Ben sizi köpürdükçe köpüren bir ataşe karşı uyardım.

15. Ona ancak en bedbaht olan yaslanır.

16. O ki, yalanlamış ve tersine gitmiştir.

17. O en çok takva sahibi olan ise ondan çok uzaklaştırılacaktır!

18. O ki, malını verir, temizlenir.

19. Ve onda hiç kimsenin mükafat edilecek bir nimeti yoktur.

20. Ancak yüceler yücesi Rabbinin rızasını aramak için verir.

21. Ve mutlaka o hoşnutluğa erecektir.

15. Ve la yehafi 'ukbaha.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1. By the Sun and his (glorious) splendor;
2. By the Moon as she follows him;
3. By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory;
4. By the Night as it conceals it;
5. By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure;
6. By the Earth and its (wide) expanse:
7. By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it;
8. And its inspiration as to its wrong and its right;-
9. Truly he succeeds that purifies it,
10. And he fails that corrupts it!
11. The Tham�d (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing,
12. Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety).
13. But the Messenger of Allah said to them: "It is a She-camel of Allah! And (bar her not from) having her drink!"
14. Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin and leveled them!
15. And for Him is no fear of its consequences.


1. Andolsun güneşe ve parıltısına,
2. ona uyduğunda aya,
3. onu açıp ortaya çıkardığında gündüze,
4. onu sardığında geceye,
5. göğe ve onu bina edene,
6. yere ve onu döşeyene,
7. nefse ve onu düzenleyene,
8. sonra da ona bozukluğunu ve korunmasını ilham edene ki,
9. gerçek kurtuluş bulmuştur onu temizlikle parlatan.
10. Onu kirletip gömen de ziyan etmiştir!
11. Semud kavmi azgınlığından inanmadı.
12. O en yaramazları fırladığı zaman,
13. Allah'ın elçisi onlara: "Allah'ın devesini ve onun sulanışını gözetiri!" demişti.
14. Fakat ona inanmadılar da onu (deveyi) devirdiler. Rableri de günahlarını başlarına geçiri geçiriverdi de o yeri düzleyiverdi!
15. Öyle ya, O, o işin sonundan korkacak değil ki!

1. Nay I do swear by this City;-
2. And thou art an inhabitant of this City;-
3. And the begetter and that he begot;-
4. Verily We have created man into toil and struggle.
5. Thinketh he, that none hath power over him?
6. He may say (boastfully): "Wealth have I squandered in abundance!"
7. Thinketh he that none beholdeth him?
8. Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?-
9. And a tongue, and a pair of lips?-
10. And shown him the two highways?
11. But he hath made no haste on the path that is steep.
12. And what will explain to thee the path that is steep?-
13. (It is:) freeing the bondman;
14. Or the giving of food in a day of privation
15. To the orphan with claims of relationship,
16. Or to the indigent (down) in the dust.
17. Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, (constancy, and self-restraint), and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion.
18. Such are the Companions of the Right Hand.
19. But those who reject Our Signs, they are the (unhappy) Companions of the Left Hand.
20. On them will be Fire vaulted over (all round).




1. Yo... yemin ederim bu beldeye!
2. Sen bu beldede oturmaktayken.
3. Ve baba ile çocuğuna ki,
4. gerçekten Biz insanı bir sıkıntı içinde yarattık.
5. O, kendisine karşı kimse güç yetiremez mi sanıyor?
6. O: "Ben yığın yığın mal telef ettim." diyor.
7. Onu bir gören olmadı mı sanıyor?
8. Vermedik mi Biz ona iki göz?
9. Bir dil ve iki dudak?
10. Ona iki de tepe gösterdik.
11. Fakat o sarp yokuşa göğüs veremedi.
12. Bildin mi, nedir o sarp yokuş?
13. Esir bir boyun kurtarmak (bir köle azad etmek)
14. Ya da salgın bir açlık gününde yemek yedirmektir.
15. Yakınlığı olan bir yetime
16. veya toprak döşenen (hiçbir varlığı olmayan) bir yoksula. . .
17. Sonra da o iman edip de sabrı tavsiyeleşen ve merhamet tavsiyeleşenlerden olamadı.
18. İşte onlardır meymenet sahipleri (kitapları sağ taraflarından verilecekler).
19. Ayetlerimizi inkar edenler ise, onlardır işte şeamet sahipleri (uğursuz kimseler).
20. Üzerlerine bir ateş bastırılıp kapıları kapanacak.

25. Feyevmeizin la yü'azzibü 'azabehu ehadün.
26. Ve la yusiku ve sakahu ehadün.

27. Ya eyyetühennefsülmutmeinnetü.
28. İrci'ıy ila rabbiki radıyeten merdıyyeten.
29. Fedhuliy fiy 'ıbadiy.
30. Vedhuliy cennetiy.

1. By the Dawn

2. By the ten Nights;

3. By the Even and Odd (contrasted);

4. And by the Night when it passeth away;-

5. Is there (not) in these an adjuration (or evidence) for those who understand?

6. Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the �d (people),-

7. Of the (city of) Iram, with lofty pillars,

8. The like of which were not produced in (all) the land?

9. And with the Tham�d (people), who cut out (huge) rocks in the valley?-

10. And with Pharaoh, lord of stakes?

11. (All) these transgressed beyond bounds in the lands,

12. And heaped therein mischief (on mischief).

13. Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements:

14. For thy Lord is Watchful.

15. Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honor and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honored me."

16. But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!"

17. Nay, nay! but ye honor not the orphans!

18. Nor do ye encourage one another to feed the poor!-

19. And ye devour inheritance - all with greed,

20. And ye love wealth with inordinate love!

21. Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder,

22. And thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank,

23. And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him? 24. He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!"

25. For, that Day, His Chastisement will be such as none (else) can inflict,

26. And His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind.

27. (To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction!

28. "Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him!

29. "Enter thou, then, among My devotees!

30. "Yea, enter thou My Heaven!"

8. ki, o ülkeler içinde bir benzeri yaratılmamıştı.
9. Ve vadilerde kayaları kesen (yontan) Semud kavmine?
10. O kazıkların sahibi Firavun'a?
11. Onlar ki o memleketlerde azıtmışlardı.
12. Oralarda bozgunculuğu çoğaltmışlardı.
13. Onun için de Rabbin üzerlerine bir azap kamçısı yağdırdı.
14. Şüphesiz ki Rabbin öyle mirsad ile gözetlemektedir.

15. Ama insan, Rabbi onu her ne zaman imtihan edip de kendiside ikramda bulunur, nimetler verirse: "Rabbim bana ikram etti." der.
16. Fakat her ne zaman da sınayıp rızkım daraltırsa: "Rabbim bana ihanet etti." der.
17. Hayır, hayır, doğrusu siz yetime ikram etmiyorsunuz.
18. Birbirinizi yoksulu doyurmaya teşvik etmiyorsunuz.
19. Oysa mirası dermecesine (helal haram demeden) öyle bir yiyiş yiyorsunuz ki!
20. Malı öyle bir seviş seviyorsunuz ki, yığmacasına!
21. Hayır, hayır, yer üst üste sarsıntılarla düzlendiği zaman,
22. Rabbinin emri gelip melekler saf saf dizildiği zaman,

23. cehennemde ki, getirilmiştir; o insan o gün anlar, ama bu anlamanın ne yararı var ona?
24. Der ki: "Keşke ben bu hayatım için (sağlığımda hayırlar) göndermiş olsaydım."
25. Artık o gün O'nun ettiği azabı kimse edemez.
26. Ve O'nun vurduğu bağ gibi kimse vuramaz.

27. Ey Rabbine itaat eden huzura ermiş ruh,
28. dön Rabbine, sen O'ndan O senden hoşnut olarak!
29. Gir kullarımın içine!
30. Gir cennetime!

1. Has the story reached thee of the Overwhelming (Event)?

2. Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated,

3. Laboring (hard), weary,-

4. The while they enter the Blazing Fire,-

5. The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring,

6. No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari�

7. Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger.

8. (Other) faces that Day will be joyful,

9. Pleased with their striving,-

10. In a Garden on high,

11. Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity:

12. Therein will be a bubbling spring:

13. Therein will be couches, raised on high,

14. Goblets placed (ready),

15. And cushions set in rows,

16. And rich carpets (all) spread out.

17. Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?-

18. And at the Sky, how it is raised high?-

19. And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?-

20. And at the Earth, how it is spread out?

21. Therefore do thou remind, for thou art one to remind.

22. Thou art not one to manage (their) affairs.

23. But if any turn away and disbelieve,-

24. Allah will chastise him with a mighty Chastisement,

25. For to Us will be their return;

26. Then it will be for Us to call them to account.



1. Geldi mi sana o gaşiye ( her şeyi kuşatacak salgın, istilacı kıyametin) haberi?

2. O gün kimi yüzler eğilmiş, zillete düşmüştür.

3. Çalışmış, fakat boşuna yorulmuştur.

4. Kızışmış bir ateşe yaslanırlar.

5. Kızgın bir kaynaktan sulanırlar.

6. Dari' adındaki bitkiden başka yiyecekleri yoktur.

7. Ne besler, ne açlıktan kurtarır.

8. Kimi yüzler de mesuttur o gün.

9. Yaptıklarından hoşnut.

10. Yüksek bir cennette.

11. Orada boş bir söz işitmezler.

12. Orada akan bir kaynak,

13. yüksek kanepeler,

14. konulmuş küpler,

15. dizilmiş koltuklar, yastıklar,

16. serilmiş nefis döşemeler vardır.

17. Hala bakmazlar mı o deveye ki, nasıl yaratılmış?

18. Göğe ki, nasıl kaldırılmış?

19. Dağlara ki, nasıl dikilmişler?

20. Yere ki, nasıl yayılmış?

21. Haydi öğüt ver, sen şimdi yalnızca bir öğütçüsün!

22. Onların üzerinde bir zorba değilsin!

23. Ancak tersine giden ve inkar eden başka.

24. Allah, onu en büyük azap ile cezalandıracaktır.

25. Onlar, mutlaka döne dolaşa Bize geleceklerdir.

26. Sonra da mutlaka Bize hesap vereceklerdir.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1. Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,

2. Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;

3. Who hath measured, and granted guidance;

4. And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,

5. And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.

6. By degrees shall We teach thee (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,

7. Except as Allah wills: for He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.

8. And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).

9. Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).

10. He will heed who fears:

11. But it will be avoided by the most unfortunate one,

12. Who will enter the Great Fire,

13. In which he will then neither die nor live.

14. But he will prosper who purify himself,

15. And remembers the name of his Guardian-Lord, and prays.

16. Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world;

17. But the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

18. And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),-

19. The Books of Abraham and Moses.

1. Tesbih et Rabbinin A'la (yüce) ismini.

2. Yaratııp düzene koyan Rabbinin.

3. Takdir edip doğru yolu gösteren Rabbinin.

4. O Rabbin ki, mer'ayı, çıkardı,

5. sonra da onu karamsı, bir sel kusuğuna çevirdi.

6. Bundan böyle sana Kur'an okutacağız da unutmayacaksın.

7. Yalnız Allah'ın dilediği başka; çünkü O, açığı da bilir, gizliyi de.

8. Ve seni en kolay yola muvaffak kılacağız.

9. Onun için öğüt ver, eğer öğüt fayda verilse.

10. Saygısı olan öğüt alacaktır.

11. Pek bedbaht olan da ondan kaçınacaktır.

12. O ki, en büyük ateşe yaşlanacaktır.

13. Sonra ne ölecek onda, ne de hayat bulacaktır.

14. Doğrusu felah bulmuştur temizlenen,

15. Rabbinin adım anıp namaz kılan.

16. Fakat siz, dünya hayatım tercih ediyorsunuz.

17. Oysa ahiret daha hayırlı ve daha kalıcıdır.

18. Haberiniz olsun, bu ilk sahifelerde vardır.

1. By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);-
2. And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?-
3. (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;-
4. There is no soul but has a protector over it.
5. Now let man but think from what he is created!
6. He is created from a drop emitted-
7. Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:
8. Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!
9. The Day that (all) things secret will be tested,
10. (Man) will have no power, and no helper.
11. By the Firmament which giveth the returning rain,
12. And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),-
13. Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):
14. It is not a thing for amusement.
15. As for them, they are but plotting a scheme,
16. And I am planning a scheme.
17. Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: give respite to them gently (for awhile).

3. O karanlığı delen (parlak) yıldızdır.
4. Hiçbir kimse yoktur ki, üzerinde bir gözetleyici olmasın.
5. Onun için insan bir düşünsün neden yaratıldığını!
6. Bir atılgan sudan yaratıldı.
7. Ki, arka kemiği ile göğüs kemikleri arasından çıkar.
8. Elbette O, onu döndürmeğe kadirdir.
9. Bütün sırların yoklanacağı gün,
10. o zaman ne bir gücü vardır, ne de bir yardımcısı.
11. Andolsun o dönüşlü göğe,
12. yarılan yere,
13. ki, o her halde keskin bir hükümdür.
14. O asla şaka değildir!
15. Haberin olsun ki, onlar hep hile kuruyorlar.
16. Ben de hilelerine kaşı hile kurarım.
17. Onun için o kafirlere mühlet ver, biraz daha süre tanı onlara!

21. Bel hüve kur'anün meciydün.
22. Fiy levhın mahfuzın.

1. By the sky, with its constellations;
2. By the promised Day (of Judgment);
3. By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;-
4. Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire),
5. Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel:
6. Behold! they sat over against the (fire),
7. And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers.
8. And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!-
9. Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things.
10. Those who persecute the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Chastisement of Hell: they will have the Chastisement of the Burning Fire.
11. For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: that is the great Triumph,

12. Truly strong is the Grip of thy Lord.
13. It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life).
14. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness,
15. Lord of the Throne, Full of all Glory,
16. Doer (without let) of all that He intends.

17. Has the story reached thee, of the Forces-
18. Of Pharaoh and the Tham�d?
19. And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)!
20. But Allah doth encompass them from behind!

21. Nay, this is a Glorious Quran,
22. (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved!

1. O burçlara sahip gök yüzüne,

2. o va'dolunan güne,

3. o şahitlik edecek ve şahitlik edilecek olana yemin olsun ki,

4. o hendek sahiplerine la'net edildi.

5. O çıralı ateş sahiplerine.

6. O zaman ki, çevresinde oturmuşlardı.

7. Müminlere yaptıklarını bizzat seyrediyorlardı.

8. Onlara sadece güçlü ve övgüye layık Allah'a iman etmeleri yüzünden kızıyorlardı.

9. O ki, göklerin ve yerin hükümranlığı yalnız O'nundur ve Allah, herşeye şahittir.

10. İnanan erkeklere ve inanan kadınlara eziyet edip de sonra tevbe etmeyenlere kesinlikle cehennem azabı vardır ve de yangın azabı!

11. İman edip iyi işler yapanlara ise muhakkak altından ırmaklar akan cennetler vardır, işte o büyük kurtuluş odur!

12. Gerçekten Rabbinin tutuşu çok şiddetlidir.

13. Çünkü yoktan var eden de, tekrar dirilten de odur.

14. Bununla beraber, çok bağışlayıcıdır, sevgi doludur.

15. Arş'ın sahibidir, şanı yücedir.

16. Dilediğini yapandır.

17. O orduların kıssası sana geldi ya?

18. Firavun'un ve Semud'un kıssası?

19. Fakat o küfredenler hala bir yalanlama içindeler.

20. Oysa Allah, onları arkalarından kuşatmıştır.

21. Fakat o, şanlı bir Kur'an'dır,

22. Levh-i Mahfuz'dadır.

1. When the Sky is rent asunder,

2. And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);-

3. And when the earth is flattened out,

4. And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty,

5. And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality).

6. O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him.

7. Then he who is given his Record in his right hand,

8. Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning,

9. And he will turn to his people, rejoicing!

10. But he who is given his Record behind his back,-

11. Soon will he cry for Perdition,

12. And he will enter a Blazing Fire.

13. Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing!

14. Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)!

15. Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him!

16. So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset;

17. The Night and its Homing;

18. And the Moon in her fullness:

19. Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage.

20. What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?-

21. And when the Quran is read to them, they fall not prostrate,

22. But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it).

23. But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts)

24. So announce to them a Chastisement Grievous,

25. Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: for them is a Reward that will never fail.

1. Gökyarıldığında

2. ve Rabbini dinleyip haklandığında,

3. yer uzatılıp dümdüz edildiğinde

4. ve içindekileri dışa atıp tamamen boşaldığında,

5. ve Rabbini dinleyip haklandığında,

6. ey insan, sen gerçekten Rabbine doğru çaba üstüne çaba gösterir, sonra da O'na varırsın!

7. O zaman kitabı sağ eline verilen,

8. kolay bir hesaba tabi tutulur

9. ve ailesine sevinçli olarak döner.

10. Ama kitabı arkasından verilen ise,

11. Helak diye çağırır

12. ve alevli ateşe yaslanır.

13. Çünkü o, ailesi içinde sevinçliydi.

14. Çünkü o, hiç inkılap görmeyecek (bu durumunun asla değişmeyeceğini) sanmıştı.

15. Hayır, çünkü Rabbi , onu gözetiyordu.

16. Şimdi yemin ederim ,o şafağa,

17. geceye ve derlediğine,

18. ve derlendiğinde (dolunay haline geldiğinde) o aya ki,

19. sizler binip binip tabakadan tabakaya (halden hale) geçeceksiniz!

20. O halde onlara ne oluyor ki, iman etmezler.

21. Karşılarında Kur'an okunduğu zaman secde etmezler?

22. Hatta o küfredenler yalan derler!

23. Oysa Allah, içlerindekini biliyor.

24. Onun için onlara acı bir azap müjdele!

25. Ancak iman edip iyi işler yapanlar başka; onlara tükenmez bir mükafat vardır!

33. Ve ma ursilu 'aleyhim hafizıyne.
34. Felyevmelleziyne amenu minelkuffari yadhakune.
35. 'Alel'eraiki yenzurune.
36. Hel suvvibelkuffaru ma kanu yef'alune.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

1. Woe to those that deal in fraud,-

2. Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure,

3. But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.

4. Do they not think that they will be raised up?-

5. On a Mighty Day,

6. A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?

7. Nay! Surely the Record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijj�n.

8. And what will explain to thee what Sijj�n is?

9. (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed.

10. Woe, that Day, to those that deny-

11. Those that deny the Day of Judgment.

12. And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds, the Sinner!

13. When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!"

14. By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!

15. Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled.

16. Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell.

17. Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false!

18. Nay, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in �lliy�n.

19. And what will explain to thee what �lliy�n is?

20. (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed,

21. To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah).

22. Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss:

23. On raised couches will they command a sight (of all things):

24. Thou wilt recognize in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.

25. Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:

26. The seal thereof will be Musk: and for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:

27. With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasn�m:

28. A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah.

29. Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed,

30. And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);

31. And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;

32. And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!"

33. But they had not been sent as keepers over them!

34. But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers:

35. On raised couches they will command (a sight) (of all things).

36. Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did?


1. Veyl ölçü ve tartıda hile yapanlara!

2. Onlar ki, insanlar üzerinden kendilerine ölçtüklerinde tam basarlar.

3. Onlara ölçtükleri veya tarttıklarında ise eksiltirler

4. Onlar, tekrar diriltileceklerini zannetmiyorlar mı?

5. O büyük gün için.

6. İnsanların, alemlerin Rabbi için kalkacağı günde.

7. Hayır, hayır, facirlerin yazısı Siccin'dedir.

8. Bildin mi Siccin nedir?

9. Yazılmış bir kitaptır.

10. Veyl o gün yalan diyenlere!

11. O ceza gününü yalanlayanlara.

12. Onu ancak her bir haddini aşkın, günaha düşkün yalanlar.

13. Karşısında ayetlerimiz okunduğunda: "Eskilerin masalları!" dedi.

14. Hayır, hayır! Onların kazançları kalplerinin üzerine pas bağlamıştır!

15. Hayır, hayır, doğrusu onlar o gün Rablerini görmekten mahrum kalacaklardır.

16. Sonra onlar, mutlaka cehenneme yaslanacak

17. Sonra da onlara: "İşte bu, sizin yalanlayıp durduğunuz!" denilecek.

18. Hayır, hayır; çünkü iyilerin yazısı İlliyyun'dadır.

19. Bildin mi nedir İlliyyun?

20. O yazılmış bir kitaptır!

21. Yakın melekler ona şahit olurlar.

22. Haberiniz olsun ki, iyiler bir naim (cenneti) içindedirler.

23. Koltuklar üzerinde (etrafı) seyrederler.

24. Yüzlerinde nimet ve mutluluğun parıltısını tanırsın.

25. Onlara mühürlenmiş halis bir içkiden sunulur.

26. Onun sonu misktir, işte ona imrensin artık imrenenler!

27. Onun karışımı Tesnim'dendir.

28. (Allah'a) yakın olanların içeceği bir çeşmeden.

29. Evet, o günah işleyenler, iman edenlere gülüyorlardı.

30. Onlara uğradıklarında birbirlerine göz kırpıyorlardı.

31. Evlerine döndükleri zaman zevklenerek dönüyorlardı.

32. İnananları gördüklerinde: "İşte bunlar sapıklar!" diyorlardı.

33. Halbuki inananların üzerlerine gözcü olarak gönderilmemişlerdi.

34. İşte bugün de inananlar, kafirlere gülecekler.

35. Koltuklar üzerinde bakacaklar (kendileriyle eğlenen kafirlerin cehenneme nasıl yaslandıklarını seyredecekler).

36. Nasıl, kafirler ettiklerinin cezasını buldular mı?

13. İnnel'ebrare lefiy na'ıymin.
14. Ve innelfuccare lefiy cahıymin.
15. Yasleneha yevmeddiyni.

18. Summe ma edrake ma yevmuddiyni.

19. Yevme la temliku nefsun linefsin şey'en vel'emru yevmeizin lillahi.

1. When the Sky is cleft asunder;

2. When the Stars are scattered;

3. When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth;

4. And when the Graves are turned upside down;-

5. (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back.

6. O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?-

7. Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias;

8. In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together.

9. Nay! but ye do reject the Judgment!

10. But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,-

11. Kind and honorable,- writing down (your deeds):

12. They know all that ye do.

13. As for the Righteous, they will be in Bliss;

14. And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire,

15. Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment,

16. And they will not be able to keep away therefrom.

17. And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?

18. Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?

19. (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the Command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah.

1. Gökyüzü çatladığında,

2. yıldızlar döküldüğünde,

3. denizler (yarılıp) akıtıldığında,

4. kabirler deşildiğinde,

5. bir nefis (herkes) önden neyi gönderdiğini ve neyi bıraktığını bilir.

6. Ey insan, o lütfu bol olan Rabbine karşı ne aldattı seni?

7. O ki, seni yarattı, düzenine koydu ve dengeli kıldı.

8. Seni dilediği herhangi bir biçimde oluşturdu.

9. Hayır, hayır, doğrusu siz dini yalanlıyor, cezaya inanmıyorsunuz.

10. Halbuki, üzerinizde gözcüler var.

11. Değerli, dürüst katipler.

12. Her ne yaparsanız biliyorlar.

13. Şüphesiz ki, iyiler Naim (Cenneti) içindedirler.

14. Ve şüphesiz kötüler de cehennemdedirler.

15. Din gününde ona yaşlanacaklardır.

16. Ondan çıkacak da değillerdir.

17. Sen bildin mi nedir din günü?

18. Evet, sen bildin mi nedir din günü?

19. O gün ki, kimse, kimse için hiçbir yardım yapma gücüne sahip olamaz ve o gün buyruk yalnız Allah'ındır!

26. Feeyne tezhebune.

27. İn huve illa zikrun lil'alemiyne.
28. Limen şae minkum en yestekıyme,.
29. Ve ma teşaune illa en yeşaallahu rabbul'alemiyne.

1. When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;
2. When the stars fall, losing their luster;
3. When the mountains vanish (like a mirage);
4. When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended;
5. When the wild beasts are herded together (in human habitations);
6. When the oceans boil over with a swell;
7. When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like);
8. When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned -
9. For what crime she was killed;
10. When the Scrolls are laid open;
11. When the sky is unveiled;
12. When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat;
13. And when the Garden is brought near;-
14. (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward.
15. So verily I call to witness the Planets - that recede,
16. Go straight, or hide;
17. And the Night as it dissipates;
18. And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;-
19. Verily this is the word of a most honorable Messenger,
20. Endued with Power, held in honor by the Lord of the Throne,
21. With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust.
22. And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed;
23. And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon.
24. Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen.
25. Nor is it the word of a satan accursed.
26. When whither go ye?

27. Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds:
28. (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight:
29. But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds

.


1. O güneş dürüldüğünde,
2. yıldızlar bulandığında,
3. dağlar yürütüldüğünde,
4. kıyılmaz mallar bırakıldığında,
5. vahşi hayvanlar bir araya toplandığında,
6. denizler ateşlendiğinde,
7. ruhlar eşleştirildiğinde.
8. Diri diri gömülen kıza sorulduğunda;
9. hangi suçtan öldürüldü diye,
10. defterler açıldığında,
11. gök yüzü sıyrılıp açıldığında,
12. cehennem kızıştırıldığında,
13. cennet yaklaştırıldığında,
14. bir nefis (herkes) ne hazırladığını anlar.
15. Şimdi yemin ederim o sinenlere,
16. o akıp akıp yuvasına girenlere,
17. yöneldiği zaman o geceye,
18. nefeslendiği zaman o sabaha ki,
19. muhakkak o (Kur'an), şerefli bir elçinin getirdiği bir sözdür.
20. O elçi, pek güçlü, Arş'ın sahibinin katında itibarlıdır.
21. Orada kendisine itaat edilendir, güvenilendir.
22. Yoksa sizin arkadaşınız (Muhammed), delirmiş değildir.
23. Vallahi onu (Cebrail) açık ufukta gördü.
24. O, gayb hakkında kıskanılır da değildir.
25. Ve o (Kur'an), kovulmuş şeytanın sözü değildir.
26. Böyle iken siz nereye gidiyorsunuz?

27. O, sadece bir öğüttür, alemler için.
28. Ve içinizden dosdoğru olmayı dileyenler için.
29. Fakat o alemlerin Rabbi olan Allah dilemeyince siz dileyemezsiniz

1. (The Prophet) frowned and turned away,
2. Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).
3. But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow in purity?-
4. Or that he might receive admonition, and the reminder might profit him?
5. As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient,
6. To him dost thou attend;
7. Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not in purity.
8. But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly,
9. And with fear (in his heart),
10. Of him wast thou unmindful.

11. By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of remembrance:
12. Therefore let whose will, keep it in remembrance.
13. (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honor,
14. Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,
15. (Written) by the hands of scribes-
16. Honorable and Pious and Just.

17. Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah.
18. From what stuff hath He created him?
19. From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;
20. Then doth He make His path smooth for him;
21. Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave;
22. Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).
23. By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.
24. Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):
25. For that We pour forth water in abundance,
26. And We split the earth in fragments,
27. And produce therein grain,
28. And Grapes and fresh vegetation,
29. And Olives and Dates,
30. And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,
31. And fruits and fodder,-
32. A provision for you and your cattle.
33. At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,-
34. That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,
35. And from his mother and his father,
36. And from his wife and his children.
37. Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.
38. Some faces that Day will be beaming,
39. Laughing, rejoicing.
40. And other faces that Day will be dust-stained,
41. Darkness will cover them:
42. Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the Doers of Iniquity.


1. Ekşidi (yüzünü ekşitti) ve döndü.
2. Ona ama geldi diye.
3. Ne bilirsin, belki o temizlenecek.
4. Veya öğüt alacak da öğüt kendisine fayda verecek.
5. Ama ihtiyaç duymayana gelince,
6. sen onun sesine özeniyorsun.
7. Onun temizlenmemesinden sana ne!
8. Ama sana can atarak gelen,
9. içinde saygı duyarak gelmişken,

11. Hayır, hayır, sakın! Çünkü o (Kur'an) bir öğüttür.

14. yüksek tutulan tertemiz sayfalarda,
15. yazıcıların ellerinde,
16. şerefli, takva sahibi yazıcıların.

17. O kahrolası insan ne nankör şeydir!
18. O yaratan, onu hangi şeyden yarattı?
19. Bir damla sudan yarattı da biçimine koydu onu.
20. Sonra ona kolaylaştırdı yolunu.
21. Sonra onu öldürdü de kabre gömdürdü.
22. Sonra dilediği zaman onu yeniden diriltecektir.
23. Hayır, hayır doğrusu o, O'nun emrini tam yerine getirmedi.
24. Bir de o insan yiyeceğine baksın!
25. Biz, o suyu bir döküş (bol bol) dökmekteyiz.
26. Sonra o yeryüzünü bir yarış (iyiden iyiye) yarmaktayız.
27. Bu şekilde orada daneler,
28. üzümler ve yoncalar,
29. zeytinlikler ve hurmalıklar,
30. afaka ser çekmiş dilber (gönül alan) bahçeler,
31. meyveler, çayırlar; neler yetiştirmekteyiz.
32. Sizin ve davarlarınızın yararlanması için.
33. Ama o sayha (gürültüsünü dinletecek bela) geldiği zaman,
34. kişinin kaçacağı gün kardeşinden,
35. anasından, babasından,
36. karısından ve oğullarından.
37. Onlardan her kişinin o gün başından aşan bir işi vardır.
38. O gün yüzler vardır ışılar,
39. güler, sevinir.
40. Yüzler de vardır, üzerinde tor toz.
41. Onu bir kara sarar.
42. İşte onlardır, o kafirler, facirler (yoldan sapmış günahkarlar).

40. Ve emma men hafe mekame rabbihi ve nehennefse 'anilheva.
41. Feinnelcennete hiyel me'va.
42. Yes'eluneke 'anissa'ati eyyane mursaha.
43. Fiyme ente min zikraha.
44. İla rabbike muntehaha.
45. İnnema ente munziru men yahşaha.
46. Keennehum yevme yerevneha lem yelbesu illa 'aşiyyeten ev duhaha.

1. By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence;
2. By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed);
3. And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy),
4. Then press forward as in a race,
5. Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord),
6. The Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion,
7. Followed by oft-repeated (commotions):
8. Hearts that Day will be in agitation;
9. Cast down will be (their owners') eyes.
10. They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state?
11. "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?"
12. They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!"
13. But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry,
14. When, behold, they will be brought out to the open.
15. Has the story of Moses reached thee?
16. Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuw�:-
17. "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds:
18. "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?-
19. "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'"
20. Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign.
21. But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance);
22. Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah..
23. Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation,
24. Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High".
25. But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life.
26. Verily in this is a lesson for whosoever feareth (Allah).
27. What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? (Allah) hath constructed it:
28. On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection.
29. Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendor doth He bring out (with light).
30. And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);
31. He draweth out therefrom its water and its pasture;
32. And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;-
33. A provision for you and your cattle.
34. Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),-
35. The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for,
36. And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for him who sees-
37. Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds,
38. And had preferred the life of this world,
39. The Abode will be Hell-Fire;

40. And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower Desires,
41. Their abode will be the Garden.
42. They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time?
43. Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof?
44. With thy Lord is the final end of it.
45. Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it.
46. The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn!

1. Andolsun, o daldırıp çıkaranlara,

2. usulcacık çekenlere,

3. yüzüp yüzüp gidenlere.

4. yarışıp geçenlere,

5. ve bir iş çevirenlere ki,

6. o gün sarsıntı sarsacak.

7. Onu ikincisi izleyecek.

8. O gün yürekler oynar kaygıdan.

9. Gözler kalkmaz saygıdan.

10. Diyorlar ki: "Biz gerçekten eski halimize döndürülecek miyiz?

11. Ya, ufalanmış kemikler olduktan sonra ha?"

12. Dediler ki: "Öyleyse o zararlı bir dönüş!"

13. Fakat o zorlu bir kumandadır,

14. bir de bakarsın uyanmışlar, hepsi meydanda.

15. Sana o Musa'nın haberi geldi ya?

16. Hani Rabbi ona o mukaddes vadi Tuva'da seslenmişti:

17. Haydi git Firavun'a, çünkü o pek azıttı.

18. De ki: "İster misin temizlenesin?

19. Sana Rabbini tan itayım da ona saygı duyasın?"

20. Vardı ona, o büyük mucizeyi gösterdi.

21. Fakat o, yalan dedi ve isyan etti.

22. Sonra koşarak ters yöne gitti.

23. Derken toplayıp bağırdı!

24. "Benim en büyük Rabbiniz" dedi.

25. Allah da onu tuttu, sonuna ve önüne (ahirette ve dünyada) ibret olmak üzere bir cezaya çarptırdı.

26. Şüphesiz ki, bunda saygı duyacaklar için bir ibret vardır.

27. Siz mi yaratılışça daha çetinsiniz, yoksa gökyüzü mü? Onu O "Allah" bina etti.

28. Boyuna yükseklik verdi, nizamına koydu.

29. Gecesini kararttı, kuşluğunu çıkardı.

30. Ondan sonra da yeryüzünü döşedi.

31. Ondan suyunu ve otlağını çıkardı.

32. Ve dağlarını oturttu.

33. Sizin ve hayvanlarınızın yararlanması için.

34. Fakat o en büyük felaket (kıyamet) geldiği zaman,

35. O, insanın neye koştuğunu anlayacağı gün,

36. gören kimseler için cehennem hortlatıldığı zaman,

37. artık her kim azgınlık etmiş,

38. dünya hayatını tercih etmişse,

39. muhakkak onun varacağı yer cehennemdir.

40. Her kim de Rabbinin makamından korkmuş, nefsini kötü arzulardan engellemişse,

41. muhakkak cennettir onun varacağı.

42. Sana o saatten (kıyameti) soruyorlar "Ne zaman demir atması?" diye,

43. Nerde senden onu anlatması (sen nerede, onu anlatmak nerede)?!

44. Rabbine aittir onunla ilgili bütün bilgi.

45. Sen, ancak O'ndan korkacakların bir uyarıcısısın!

46. Onlar, onu (kıyameti) görecekleri gün, sanki bir akşam veya bir kuşluğundan başka durmamışa dönecekler

6. Elem nec'alil'arda mihaden.
7. Velcibale evtaden.
8. Ve halaknakum ezvacen.
9. Ve ce'alna nevmekum subaten.
10. Ve ce'alnelleyle libasen.
11. Ve ce'alnennehare me'aşen.
12. Ve beneyna fevkakum seb'an şidaden.
13. Ve ce'alna siracen vehhacen.
14. Ve enzelna minelmu'sırati maen seccacen.
15. Linuhrice bihi habben ve nebaten.
16. Ve cennatin elfafen.
17. İnne yevmelfasli kane miykaten.
18. Yevme yunfehu fiyssuri fete'tune efvacen.
19. Ve futihatissemau fekanet ebvaben.
20. Ve suyyiretilcibalu fekanet seraben.

22. Littağıyne meaben.
23. Labisiyne fiyha ahkaben.
24. La yezukune fiyha berden ve la şeraben.
25. İlla hamiymen ve ğassakan.
26. Cezaen vifakan.
27. İnnehum kanu la yercune hısaben.
28. Ve kezzebu biayatina kizzaben.
29. Ve kulle şey'in ahsaynahü kitaben.
30. Fezuku felen neziydekum illa 'azaben.
31. İnne lilmuttekıyne mefazen.
32. Hadaika ve a'naben.
33. Ve keva'ıbe etraben.
34. Ve ke'sen dihakan.
35. La yesme'une fiyha lağven ve la kizzaben.
36. Cezaen min rabbike 'ataen hısaben.
37. Rabbissemavati vel'ardı ve ma beynehumerrahmani la yemlikune minhu hıtaben.
38. Yevme yekumurruhu velmelaiketu saffen la yetekellemune illa men ezine lehurrahmanu ve kale savaben.
39. Zalikelyevmulhakku femen şaettehaze ila rabbihi meaben.

40. İnna enzernakum 'azaben kariyben yevme yenzurulmer'u ma kaddemet yedahu ve yekululkafiru ya leyteniy kuntu turaben.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1. Concerning what are they disputing?

2. Concerning the Great News,

3. About which they cannot agree.

4. Verily, they shall soon (come to) know!

5. Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know!

6. Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,

7. And the mountains as pegs?

8. And (have We not) created you in pairs,

9. And made your sleep for rest,

10. And made the night as a covering,

11. And made the day as a means of subsistence?

12. And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,

13. And placed (therein) a blazing lamp?

14. And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance,

15. That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables,

16. And gardens of luxurious growth?

17. Verily the Day of Sorting Out is a thing appointed,

18. The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds;

19. And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors,

20. And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.

21. Truly Hell is as a place of ambush,

22. For the transgressors a place of destination:

23. They will dwell therein for ages.

24. Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,

25. Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,

26. A fitting recompense (for them).

27. For that they used not to look for any account (for their deeds),

28. But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.

29. And all things have We preserved on record.

30. "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Chastisement."

31. Verily for the Righteous there will be an Achievement;

32. Gardens enclosed, and grapevines;

33. Madians of equal age;

34. And a Cup full (to the Brim).

35. No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-

36. Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient,

37. (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, the Most Gracious: none shall have power to argue with Him.

38. The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by the Most Gracious, and he will say what is right.

39. That is the True Day: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord!

40. Verily, We have warned you of a Chastisement near, the Day when man will see (the Deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (mere) dust!"

1. Neden soruşuyorlar?

2. O büyük peygamberlik haberinden

3. ki Onlar onda görüş ayrılığına düşüyorlar.

4. Hayır, ileride bilecekler!

5. Hayır, hayır, ileride bilecekler!

6. Biz, yeryüzünü bir döşek yapmadık mı?

7. Dağları da birer kazık (yapmadık mı)?

8. Sizleri çift çift yarattık.

9. Uykunuzu bir dinlenme yaptık.

10. Geceyi bir örtü yaptık.

11. Gündüzü bir geçim vakti yaptık.

12. Üstünüze yedi sağlam bina (gök) çattık.

13. İçlerine parıl parıl parlayan bir kandil astık.

14. O yoğun bulutlardan şarıl şarıl bir su indirdik.

15. Onunla taneler ve otlar çıkaralım diye.

16. Ve sarmaş dolaş bağlar bahçeler.

17. Şüphesiz ki, o fasıl (kıyamet) günü belirlenmiş bir vakit olmuştur.

18. Sur'a üfürüldüğü gün, bölük bölük gelirsiniz!

19. Gökde açılmış, kapılar oluşmuştur.

20. Dağlar yürütülmüş, bir serap olmuştur.

21. Şüphesiz, cehennem bir gözetleme yeri olmuştur.

22. Azgınlara bir barınak olmuştur.

23. İçinde devirlerce kalacaklardır.

24. Orada ne bir serinlik tadacaklar, ne de bir içecek.

25. Yalnızca bir kaynar su ve irin.

26. Yaptıklarına tamamen uygun bir ceza olarak.

27. Çünkü onlar, hiçbir hesap ummazlardı.

28. Ayetlerimize yalan diye diye tam bir yalancı olmuşlardı.

29. Biz ise her şeyi sayıp bir kitaba geçirmişiz.

30. Artık tadın! Artık, azabınızı artırmaktan başka birşey yapacak değiliz!

31. Şüphesiz, takva sahipleri için bir kurtuluş ve murada erme var

32. Bahçeler var, bağlar var.

33. Turunç göğüslü yaşıt (kızlar) var.

34. Dopdolu bir kadeh var.

35. Orada ne boş bir laf işitirler ne de bir yalan isnadı.

36. Rabbinden bir karşılık ki, yeter mi yeter!

37. O, göklerin, yerin ve aralarındakilerin Rabbidir, Rahman'dır. O'na bir hitapta bulunma gücüne sahip olamazlar.

38. Ruh'un (Cebrail'in) ve meleklerin saf saf kıyama duracakları gün, Rahman'ın izin verdiğinden başka hiç kimse konuşamaz; o da doğruyu konuşacaktır.

39. O gün gerçektir, o halde dileyen Rabbine varacak bir yüz edinsin, bir yol tutsun!

40. Çünkü Biz size yakın bir azabı ihtar ettik. O gün kişi ellerinin önceden gönderdiğine bakacak ve kafir ise: "Ah ne olurdu ben bir toprak olsaydım!" diyecektir.
